What's coaching?
Coaching is about listening, questioning & guiding you in your life's navigation.
As a coach, I am here to be an independent neutral party in your life.
I believe in empowering clients to tap into their inner strength and wisdom to arrive at their own answers. It's really important to debunk the belief that coaches give advice: we don't! I will not have solutions for you, but only the powerful questions to guide you along your journey.
The coach-coachee relationship is the foundation on which we will work together.
I am a Co-Active coach: focusing on both the Being and Doingof life.
I am trained and certified by the Co-Active Training Institute, a global leader in coaching education, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Read more: https://coactive.com/about/
The Co-Active Framework is an ethos and mindset that helps people stretch their sightlines, get out of their comfort zones, and grow in a way that permeates every aspect of their lives.
Coaching is different from therapy & mentoring.
There are different ways to think about this, but here's my view:
1) Coaching - Focuses on the present. Coaching is curious about what's in the moment, your life's big and small agendas that show up in your daily life and how to understand yourself deeply so you can plan for the future. Of course, the past and emotions are welcomed in the conversation but do not remain the focus.
2) Therapy - Focuses on the past to understand the present. It is the right platform to work through mental health concerns and absolutely crucial in working through past traumas and patterns of behavior that has caused you to be stuck in your life. As a coach, I believe it is the right ethical code of conduct to refer you to a therapist if the need arises.
3) Mentoring - Focuses on relevant experiences. Mentors can help you open doors and share the relevant experience and network that you might need in your life. You might find a mentor in someone you admire who might have lived experience that you don't. It's up to you if you would like to heed a mentor's advice, and not all of your mentors' advice would be helpful to you in your own navigations.

Extraordinary adaptability
We hired Chris to conduct our full-day leaders' retreat and she did an incredible job. She is high-energy, fun, warm and highly competent in communicating clearly in both English and Burmese. She was able to bridge between the most senior and junior managers and we had excellent takeaways and action plans to improve our leadership. Highly recommend.
